Description

Aces Go Places a.k.a. Mad Mission (US title) was a major hit in 1982 not only in Hong Kong but also the rest of Asia, and later in Europe and US on VHS tapes. The action comedy was a parody on James Bond movies starring Samuel Hui (許冠傑) and Karl Maka (麥嘉) and directed by Eric Tseng (曾志偉). Karl Maka was also the producer of the film. The success of the film led to four more sequels in the years to come. Eric Tsang directed the first sequel and subsequent ones were directed by Tsui Hark (徐克), Ringo Lam (林嶺東) and Lau Kar-Leung (劉家良).

The main theme song was composed by Samuel Hui, an established singer-songwriter in his own right. The soundtrack was produced by Teddy Robin (泰迪羅賓) and he has adapted Samuel's song in much of the soundtrack, including this action theme. Other than Sam Hui's theme song, the soundtrack was never released on LP, tape or CD.
